The Highlights of Zambia Safari - From £5,500 per Person Excluding International Flights

Day 1
Arrive into Lusaka where you where you will be met by our local representative and shown to the check in for your onward internal flight. Upon arrival at Mfuwe you will be met by your vehicle and guide and have a short transfer to theZebra, South Luangwa Valley National Park, Zambia comfort of your lodge; the drive to the lodge takes you through villages, agriculture as well as wild bush until you reach the Luangwa River. Depending on your time of arrival you will have lunch overlooking the Luangwa River on the edge of the South Luangwa National Park before going on an afternoon and night drive.
Overnight: Nkwali Lodge - a beautiful lodge set on the banks of the Luangwa River with wildlife right on your doorstep! (B/L/D)

Day 2
After an early breakfast cooked on the open fire you will have a choice of activities for your morning. South Luangwa is famous for its walking safaris making this an ideal time to start! Alternatively you can also explore South Luangwa by 4x4 maximising your wildlife viewing opportunities...especially on your night game drive!
Overnight: Nkwali Lodge (B/L/D)

Day 3
An early breakfast prior to setting off on your game drive through Luangwa National Park and to the crossing point from where you cross into the Nsefu Sector famous for its high density of wildlife. Met on the opposite bank by your lodge staff you continue on your game drive to the oldest camp in the park, Nsefu Camp. After a relaxing lunch you have a chance for more game drives and night drives based from Nsefu.
Overnight: Nsefu Camp – This was the first camp in Zambia and dates back to the early 50s. The 6 rondavals have en-suite facilities and a balcony with sweeping views of the Luangwa River (B/L/D)

Days 4, 5
Enjoy a variety of activities based from Nsefu Camp including some fantastic walking safaris...Walks with our highly experienced guides are renowned; you will see the animals from a different perspective as you become one with them. Nothing gets the heart racing more than seeing fresh lion spoor in the sand in front of you. Other activities include game drives by 4x4 and the renowned night drives which maximise your chances of seeing leopard in the wild! 
Overnight: Nsefu Camp (B/L/D)

Day 6
Today you fly southwards and on to the renowned Lower Zambezi National Park. Upon arrival you have a short 15 minute transfer by 4x4 to your lodge. The lower Zambezi is famous for its canoeing safaris allowing you to drift quite close to the animals as they come to the river to drink. A variety of activities are on offer including game drives by 4x4 or walking safaris...
Overnight: Chongwe River Camp – is a luxury bushcamp set on the banks of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers overlooking the famous Mana Pools National Park. The safari style tents are under thatched roofs all with open air en-suite bathrooms. (B/L/D)Yellow Billed Hornbill

Days 7, 8
Spend your days exploring this quiet corner of Africa. Enjoy 4x4 game drives, go fishing for tiger fish, travel the waterways of the mighty Zambezi by boat or walk through the shady groves of trees seeing what game you can spot...
Overnight: Chongwe River Camp (B/L/D)

Day 9
Today you have a short onward flight to Kafue National Park. As you land at the remote airstrip you are escorted to the waiting helicopter that will transfer you the rest of the way across the savannah plains to your lodge. This is a fantastic way to see the Busanga Plains as you skim over them; if you are lucky you may see some game on the way into camp!
Overnight: Busanga Plains Bushcamp – this is a rustic (but very comfortable!) camp set on an “island” in the middle of the Busanga Plains. The 4 tents are located on the outside of the island offering great views across the plains. All are en-suite with bathrooms that are enclosed but roofless allowing you to see the stars whilst showering (B/L/D)  

Days 10, 11
Go on safari drives and nights drives all accompanied by a qualified and knowledgeable guide. The plains attract a vast array of herbivores and this in turn attracts the larger predators! From July onwards this is the best park in Zambia where you can see cheetah! The Busanga pride of lions is also a highlight as they wander the plains accompanied by two magnificent maned males...
Overnight: Busanga Plains Bushcamp (B/L/D)

Day 12
An early morning start flying further south to Livingstone on the Zambian side of the mighty Victoria Falls. On arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred to your lodge. In the afternoon you can go and see the Victoria Falls or alternatively relax in the pool that overlooks the mighty Zambezi River. A highlight at Victoria Falls is to take a helicopter flight over the falls commanding great views of the upper Zambezi River as well as the falls and the gorge below.
Overnight: Tongabezi Lodge – the lodge is set about 45 minutes upstream from Victoria Falls on a bend in the Zambezi River. The accommodation consists of various houses and cottages all designed with a different theme in mind. All are en-suite (B/L/D)

Day 13
Visit the mighty Victoria Falls which is an amazing sight and something not to be missed. This is a perfect way to finish your Zambian Safari. Take the famous flight of angels over the falls giving you a bird’s eye view of the upper ZambeziCheetah Cub as well as the gorges below the Victoria Falls.

Day 14
Today you leave the comfort of your lodge and make your way to the airport for your onward flight back home (B)
