However, Zambia is actually one of the best places in Africa for a family friendly safari. Not only are there family orientated safari ‘Houses’ available, but a whole host of activities for your little ones to enjoy, whether you want to spend the day together, or just be safe in the knowledge that your children are safe and happy whilst you are tracking out in the bush.

Safari houses, such as Luangwa Safari House and Chongwe River House, offer the ultimate in flexibility, no matter the age ranges of your group. Overlooking waterholes and rivers, there are often elephant, giraffe, buffalo and other game grazing right outside! You will have your own dedicated chef and driver guide, so you can choose when you eat or go out spotting wildlife. Family friendly game drives can be done, or if you want to head out without the young ones, activities such as short walks, learning to play African drums or even just a lazy morning with a fry up by the pool can be arranged for them. On request, a ‘baby listener’ can be provided at some houses, so you can enjoy a private meal under the African stars, whilst someone keeps a close ear out for the well being of your sleeping children.
