Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp
Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp is set in the dramatic and remote South Luangwa Valley and is aptly named after the Puku antelope that graze the Kakumbi Dambo (floodplains) below. The camp is built on an escarpment with magnificent vistas of the floodplain and the abundance of wildlife that frequent the region.
The camp is luxurious and intimate with an authentic feel, built to blend as naturally as possible with its surroundings.

Style: A traditional old world style safari camp with a dash of added luxury.
Setting: In the remote South Luangwa Valley, perched above the floodplains with fantastic views of the abundant wildlife living in the area.
Accommodation & Facilities: The oversized guest tents are unobtrusively close to the wild and comfortably furnished with a spectacular view of Kakumbi Dambo. Each walk-in tent has a private deck featuring some wonderfully lazy wicker swings, en-suite bathroom with a private hot tub and the option of an outdoor shower, and the usual creature comforts – mosquito nets, ceiling fan and hair dryer.
The bar, sitting room and dining area are all connected to the guest tents via well lit pathways.
Dining: The camp produces some delicious menus featuring gourmet cuisine and excellent wines.
Activities: South Luangwa features a wide variety of wildlife including, but not limited to, elephants, hippos, wild dog and buffalo, as well as some endemic species such as Thornicroft’s giraffe. It is also a great location for leopard spotting. Keep you eyes peeled on day and night game drives as well as walking safaris.

Responsible Travel: The camp uses biodegradable soaps and powders for washing and solar power is used wherever possible to light the camp. Wastewater is also carefully managed to ensure only the minimum amount required is drawn from the well.
