Traverse Northern & Southern Tanzania in Search of Magnificent Wildlife, Before Relaxing on the Sublime Shores - From £5,495 Per Person Sharing, Excluding International Flights

Day 1
Upon your arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are met by your professional English speaking driver/guide and your 4x4 vehicle before being transferred to Arusha. Packed lunch in hand you will meet your internal flight to the northern part of the Serengeti NationalElephant Mud Bath Park (12:15 – 15:15), the famed ‘Mara Triangle’ and the Mara River, an area that borders the Masaai Mara in Kenya Serengeti National Park. Upon your arrival at Kogatende airstrip, you travel to the luxury of Olakira Camp enjoying a shared game drive along the way.
Overnight: Olakira Camp, Luxury Tent – a classic intimate mobile tented camp providing excellent access to the migration. Spacious tents with king-sized beds, private verandas with views over the Serengeti plains and en-suite facilities (L/D)

Day 2
The majestic landscape of the northern Serengeti is one of the best kept secrets of Tanzania. Far from the tourist track, this area of open grasslands and riverine woodlands supports some of the densest grazer populations in East Africa. If you are lucky you may get to see the Big 5 (rhinos sometimes cross from Kenya’s Maasai Mara) and its home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, large herds of antelope and a host of other wildlife. The stunning Mara River, filled with hippos and crocodiles, cuts through this land and is hosts to one of the greatest spectacles nature has to offer: the dramatic wildebeest crossings of the Mara River. Between mid July and November, the Great Migration typically visits the area and crosses the Mara River back and forth in search of green grass. This area does offer a truly unique safari experience; undisturbed exploration of this majestic part of the Serengeti National Park. Today, you will enjoy shared game drives, wonderful wildlife and spectacular landscapes in the Serengeti National Park.

Day 3
Today, you transfer back to the Kogatende airstrip in order to meet your internal flight to Selous Game Reserve (12:15 – 15:15). From the Selous airstrip, you are transferred to your camp where you have a chance to settle in before heading out on your first game drive or bush walk in the game reserve in search of the big game that it’s famous for. Here, you will spend three unforgettable nights where you can take full advantage of the opportunities to view the wildlife of the Selous, either by boat, vehicle or on foot on a shared basis returning in time for sunset and dinner.
Overnight: Selous Safari Camp - Selous Safari Camp is comprised of two separate camps, North and South, saving you from feeling overcrowded. North camp is comprised of 6 tents and South with 7, each has their own pool and facilities so there is no need to cross between the two. The spacious tents are all luxuriously equipped with their own en-suites including open air hot showers, king sized beds and ceiling fans, providing the perfect place to relax after a day out in the wild (B/L/D)

Days 4, 5
Selous is a true wilderness reserve with big game everywhere! During the next two days you are free to explore this wilderness area on shared excursions in a variety of ways. You may wish to start your day by enjoying an early morning game walk out into Africa’s largestSunset Lioness wilderness, learning about its complex eco-system and experiencing the thrill and contentment of being at the heart of Nature. You can explore the game in the surrounding areas, from your seat in an open-sided vehicle, a comfortable and privileged journey through the wild African bush. The Selous is the best place in Tanzania to see wild dog which are highly endangered. Other animals include lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, kudu, impala, hippo, crocodiles and hundreds of different bird species. You may wish to take a boat cruise following the course of the mighty Rufiji River, weaving amongst the pods of hippo and crocodile lining the bank, as you observe the game coming down to drink.

Day 6
This morning, after breakfast, you transfer back to the Selous airstrip where you will catch your internal flight to Ruaha (09:30 – 11:00). You will be met upon arrival by a Jongomero Camp guide and taken back on a short safari to Camp in time for afternoon tea or alternatively set out immediately on a game drive. You will spend three magical nights here giving you plenty of time to experience this remote wilderness area. This evening sit back and relax and soak up these truly magical surroundings.
Overnight: Jongomero Camp – 8 spacious luxury tents raised on wooden platforms with thatched roofs and private verandahs. En-suite double vanity bathrooms with hot and cold running water (B/L/D)

Day 7, 8
A full day in Ruaha National Park with either a morning walk (USD$30pp supplement payable at Camp) or game drive and afternoon game drives to take you into new territories of this remote Park. Jongomero is situated far to the South of the park and it feels like you have all of Africa to yourselves as you roam the riverine areas and hills. The park possesses one of the largest species counts of large mammals of any other park; with all the regular animals such as elephant, huge herds of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, impala, eland, hippo, crocodile, lion and leopard. Birding is quite spectacular, with the park boasting some 500 different species of birds, including the Ruaha Red-billed hornbill which is unique to the park. Ruaha is an ecological convergence for Northern and Southern species of mammal and is also one of the few areas where Greater and Lesser Kudu can be seen. Game drives in Ruaha are unique and cater for the safari connoisseur, and with the bush luxury of Jongomero Camp as your base, you can enjoy a most exclusive and rewarding safari experience. Alternatively, feel free to sit back and relax at Camp or by the pool and take in the true wilderness of your surroundings.

Day 9
This morning after breakfast, you transfer back to the Ruaha airstrip where you will catch your internal flight to Dar es Salaam International Airport (11:45 – 14:00). Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the beautiful retreat of Ras Kutani to relax for the next 5 nights andRas Kutani, Luxury Resort of Tanzania reminisce over the adventures of the last few days.
Overnight: Ras Kutani – Lovely Beach Cottages constructed of local materials that blend into the local environment. Sea views and white sand beaches make this the ideal location to relax at the end of your safari (B/L/D)

Days 10, 11, 12
You have three whole days to sit back and enjoy the comfort and tranquility of Ras Kutani, set on a peninsular of white sandy beach next to a fresh water lagoon and tropical forest shoreline. Here, there are opportunities to enjoy kayaking, snorkelling, massages, nature walks through the forest, a visit to the local villages or alternatively you can just sit back and relax by the pool. This is the perfect African beach relaxation.
Overnight: Ras Kutani (B/L/D)

Day 13
Today you transfer by road (35kms) to Dar es Salaam in time for your international flight back home (scheduled to depart at 19:40) (B)
