Tanzania - Guides

World Big Cat Safaris uses local safari guides wherever possible in each destination that we offer. We believe that local guides offer that little bit more that can make the difference between a good safari and a great safari. For ease of reference we have listed details of some of our guides below:

Moses Gabriel - 36 years old and born in Arusha on the slopes of Mt. Meru. In 1992 Moses worked in the bush as a chef for a year and then went back to the Mweka College for two years.  Later I worked as Operations Manager for 2 years for a tour company in Arusha. The bush lover however cannot live in town so he decided to go back to the road this time as a guide! Moses has 10 years bush experience and has been guiding for 5 years.  The highlight of my guiding career is the day I guided the delegation of the Ex- President of the USA (President Bill Clinton). 

George Mambo - 33 years old and born in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania.  George joined the tourism industry after qualifying on a guide course that included one year studying flora and fauna and a year of mechanics course. George has been guiding for 6 years in East African countries and has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro once.
