Tarangire Treetops

Set in the magnificent baobab and manila trees, the camp’s magical and adventurous atmosphere exudes a timeless presence and childlike excitement. Brimming with wildlife all year round, the area is home to some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa and is rich in birds of prey.

Living in the trees presents some stunning views to the Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley Wall, and the tents can be opened on all sides giving a fully panoramic outlook on the landscape.

Style: A luxurious, boutique style camp set up in the age old Baobab and Manila trees, with a Never land feel, this camp will appeal to anyone with a sense of adventure and a curiosity into wildlife.

Setting: Tarangire Treetops is located in a private game reserve, Bordering Tarangire National Park and straddling the wet season migration line, 110km southwest of Arusha.

Accommodation & facilities: The lodges 20 suites are all built into the trees, each measuring 65 metres square and creatively and lavishly furnished blending natural materials with a contemporary African style. They can be opened at all sides or closed off, and each has their own balcony, lounge area and en-suite bathroom with an entirely private, outdoor shower. The views from the rooms are spectacular, overlooking the Tarangire Sand River in complete isolation and comfort.

Dining: The dining area, overlooking the pool and a watering hole frequented daily by game, serves fine, creative meals, using local produce as much as possible. There is also the option of Bush Meals and the traditional sundowner at the end of a long day in the wild.

Activities: Game drives, Night Game Drives and Game Walks, including a Masai experience in an authentic boma!

Elewana believe in “a balance between people and nature, tourism and conservation” and have waste management systems in place to limit any damage done to the environment.
