The ultimate in traditional safari chic, with huge canvas tents which are furnished with traditional mahogany wooden chests, four poster beds and persian rugs. Each luxury tent has air-conditioning, internet access, an en-suite bathroom and viewing deck. Evening meals can be taken under a lamp-lit tree as you gaze out over the plains. The main area of camp consists of a library, dining area and a plunge pool... it does not get much more luxurious than this!

Setting: Tents are set around a permanent waterhole, beneath shady acacia and sausage trees, within the 340,000 hectare private Singita Concession which teems with outstanding wildlife, all year round.
Accommodation & facilities: The ultimate in traditional safari chic with huge canvas tents, lavishly furnished with traditional mahogany travel chests, four-poster beds, Persian rugs and silk curtains. Each luxury tent has air-conditioning, an en-suite bathroom with bath and outdoor shower, dressing area and private viewing deck, where guests can sip sun-downers and gaze over the waterhole.
These well-appointed tents also include an electronic safe, standing fan, hairdryer, direct dial telephone (US lines) and wireless internet access.
The main area of camp contains a library and a bar and lounge area with satellite TV and DVD player. There is also a refreshing plunge pool for calling off after a day of game viewing.
Dining: Delicious feasts are created using locally grown organic produce, coupled with vintage wines. Evening meals can be taken under lamp-lit trees, gazing out over the plains.
Activities: Twice daily game drives with professional guides in 4x4 vehicles. The Equestrian Centre is situated adjacent to Sasakwa Lodge and is home to sixteen horses. Experienced riders can enjoy out-rides on the Serengeti Plains. (Tack is English style and guests have the choice of English or Western saddles). At an extra cost, balloon safaris across the plains of the Serengeti are also available.
Back at the lodge, guests can indulge in the spa, yoga and gym facilities, or enjoy archery, lawn croquet, mountain biking and tennis.
Stargazing safaris can be arranged in the evenings and the lodge has wireless internet access, as well as the option of watching satellite television in the main lodge.
Child policy: Children under 10 years old can be accommodated if the lodge is booked on an exclusive use basis.
