Dunia Camp, Serengeti National Park
Dunia Camp
Dunia Camp consists of 6 large en-suite guest tents. Each tent has its own private veranda overlooking the Serengeti and inside the tents you will find comfortable king-size beds, beautiful traditional cloths and contemporary furniture. The en-suite bathrooms have flush toilets, a double sink and a safari shower. Authentic African and nouvelle European is cuisine is served in the mess/dining tent or you can enjoy dinner and drinks underneath the stars beside the camp fire.
Game drives from Dunia Camp are unlike anything else in the Southern Serengeti due to the prime and private location in the Moru Kopjes. Dunia Camp gives you access to the best that the southern and central Serengeti has to offer: the Ndutu area, the southern plains, the Moru Kopjes and the central Serengeti valley. Typically, the Great Migration congregates on the southern Serengeti plains in the December to March period, to give birth to a next generation of wildebeest and zebra. The migratory wildebeest and zebra share the land with elephant, giraffe, Thomson gazelle and a host of other plains species. There are plenty of big cats to see in the area with large lion prides and cheetah frequently sighted. Lucky guests may spot the rare black rhino in the Moru area. For the culturally interested - Moru Kopjes is home to colourful and mysterious Maasai rock paintings.
