The main lodge at Bayethe is a splendid stone and thatch structure with a large deck area overlooking an active waterhole. There is a lounge and dining area that spills out onto the decking which is next to the boma where traditional fireside meals are had under the stars. There are 9 luxury and 3 premier tents each with ensuite facilities, a plunge pool and viewing deck, air con and heating and the premier tents have the addition of a fireplace and hammocks. Shamwari Private Game Reserve is a malaria free, family friendly, big five game reserve in the Eastern Cape making it ideal for an extension to the Garden Route.
