Kings Camp is situated in the wildlife rich Timbavati Private Game Reserve bordering the world famous Kruger National Park. Each of the 11 spacious suites is equipped with air conditioning, a ball and claw foot bath, indoor and outdoor shower and a private veranda that overlooks a natural waterhole that is frequented by the wildlife. Style: A luxury lodge reflecting the old colonial style with charm and romance.
Setting: The lodge is just a 30 minute drive from Hoedspruit Ariport in the eastern corner of the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. In this area of remarkable diversity you are likely to find such wildlife as elephants, buffalo, lion leopard and rhino.
Accommodation& Facilities: The 11 suites are all thatched and designed in a colonial style, there are 2 honeymoon suites and the rest are classed as luxury. Rooms have a Victorian ball & claw bath and the en-suite bathroom includes both an indoor and outdoor double shower. Each suite has a very well stocked mini bar and a veranda with a comfortable hammock to relax between activities or watch the stars at night. Suites also come with a torch, mosquito repellent and nets as well as a safe and telephone.
There is a comfortable open plan lounge, spacious dining room and a romantic, intimate and inviting lantern lit bar. The viewing deck, shaded by thatch, overlooks the waterhole where you are sure to find some thirsty animals!
Other facilities include a library with 24 hour wi-fi and a T.V, curio shop, gym and therapy treatments, such as Indian head massage, Swedish massage and hot stone therapy.
Dining: Kings Camp serves delectable authentic South African cuisine. Breakfast and lunch are usually in the dining room and tea, snack and canapés will be provided whilst out on game drives. Dinners can be served under the stars in the Boma, out in the bush, in the garden or overlooking the water hole or pool. Private dinners can also be arranged on your veranda for those wanting a little more privacy.
Activities: Kings Camp runs morning and afternoon game drives in an open vehicle. Afternoon game drives generally finish after dark so a spot light is used to view some of South Africa’s nocturnal wildlife. There are walking safaris on request and helicopter trips to Blyde River Canyon can be arranged at extra cost.
Child Policy: Children over 6 are welcome at the camp. Children under this age can only be catered for if the entire camp is booked out exclusively.
