Ongava Lodge, Etosha National Park
Ongava Lodge
Ongava Lodge is situated on the small private reserve on the southern border of the Etosha National Park. The lodge offers luxury accommodation in 14 ensuite stone and thatch bungalows each with a balcony overlooking the Namibian bush below. The main communal area consists of a restaurant which is under thatch, a split level lounge and dining area and a swimming pool. Meals are often eaten in the lounge or dining area which has views out over the waterhole which often has animals drinking from it, including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and black and white rhino as well as a host of plains game. A highlight at Ongava Lodge is to set out on foot with an armed guide to track the white rhino within the reserve; alternatively, spend time relaxing in the hide observing the wildlife as it comes in to drink.
