Doro Nawas is situated in the dry Aba-Huab river valley, home to the incredible desert adapted elephants. There are 16 stone, thatch and canvas chalets with wooden and glass doors leading onto a private veranda where guests can enjoy the views or at night stargazing or sleep outs. The main communal area consists of indoor and outdoor dining areas, a guest swimming pool and a stair case leads to the roof for sundowners and stargazing.

Style: A 5 star luxury desert camp.
Setting: On the edge of the dry Aba Huab River, perched on a rugged and rocky hill. Doro Nawas is close to Twyfelfontein in Damaraland, North Western Namibia, with spectacular views of the Etendeka Mountains and the red sandstone cliffs.
Accommodation & Facilities: The 16 natural stone and canvas chalets are all spacious and airy, with a thatched roof for added shade. Rooms all come en-suite with an outdoor shower and complimentary toiletries. The chalets all open up onto wonderful verandas, perfect for absorbing the spectacular landscape, star gazing under the clear nights sky or even rolling you bed out onto for a great nights sleep, al fresco style.
The main area is wide and open plan with both an indoor and outdoor dining area. You can follow through the courtyard up onto the roof, which has proved a popular dining spot with guests. Other facilities include a swimming pool, bar and curio shop.
Dining: Your stay at Doro Nawas can be booked on a full board and activities basis, or bed breakfast and dinner, the latter being ideal for travellers doing a self drive.
Activities: Game Drives by 4x4 to track desert elephants, trips to visit the Bushman Rock Art and there is also a walking trail at the camp which can be done either with a guide or on your own. Those driving can use Doro Nawas as a base to explore from.
Child Policy: Children are welcome at Doro Nawas with parents, however they should be supervised at all times.
