A fantastic beach retreat, Ras Kutani offers the ultimate in relaxation after days of being on safari. Nine charming cottages built of natural materials with en-suite facilities and private verandas with ocean views. 4 large suites are also available located on the hillside with sweeping oceanic vistas and private plunge pools. There is also a family bungalow comprising of two connected cottages with a shared living area.

Style: Polynesian style beach hideaway.
Setting: On the banks of a wide fresh water lagoon, amidst tropical forest, Ras Kutani is just 35km away from the port of Dar es Salaam, although it feels like a world away.
Accommodation & Facilities: The relaxed accommodation is connected via windy sandy paths and is kept within a simple, natural theme. The 9 cottages are made from reed and palm thatch, with private veranda and hammocks to relax, a private bathroom and views over the sea, lagoon or the pretty gardens. The 4 suites are slightly larger and higher up in the hills, overlook the forest through to the sea. These spacious suites have private plunge pools on the verandas! The family suite has 2 bedrooms as well as a shared living area with sea views. The beds are large and comfortable, draped in mosquito netting.
The main lodge has an open plan bar and dining area, dotted with colourful, comfy cushions with superb views over the sea.
Internet is available at a small cost.
Dining: Freshly prepared seafood is the specialty, (we are by the sea of course!) as well as Pan-African cuisine.
Activities: Activities include snorkelling, kayaking, boogie boarding or just sitting back and relaxing by the pool. At different times of the year it is also possible to see whales, turtles and dolphins!
Child Policy: Children of all ages are welcome at Ras Kutani.
