Sosian Ranch is a private working ranch, located on the renowned Laikipia Plateau. Here, wildlife conservation and farm management go hand-in-hand and guests are encouraged to participate in ranch life, as well as marvel at the thriving and diverse wildlife that can be found on the property. Sosian Ranch occupies a delightful location, set amid green lawns that merge with the bush beyond, and enjoys panoramic views of Mount Kenya, the Aberdares and the Laikipia plateau.
The Laikipia Plateau is incredibly diverse and there are so many different activities to enjoy whilst game watching; a very special place and a good contrast to Kenya's national parks, where one tends to be limited to viewing game from a vehicle.

Style: A restored, luxury ranch house with a very welcoming atmosphere.
Setting: Sosian Ranch is set amidst stunning scenery and overlooks snow-capped Mount Kenya. The old ranch house sits within a 24,000 acre working ranch on the Laikipia plateau. The habitat is varied here, with open plains to the north and dense scrublands to the south.
Accommodation & facilities: A beautifully restored African ranch house that was built in the 1940’s by Italian artisans. Accommodating up to 14 guests in the atmosphere of a private home, Sosian Ranch is well known for its warm and friendly hospitality. Situated within the tropical garden, seven en-suite cottages with private verandas overlook Mount Kenya and miles of unspoilt Africa.
The ranch has a spacious dining room and elegantly furnished sitting room with a large fire place. There is also a well-stocked library and games room.
The ranch's swimming pool is surrounded by a beautiful garden - perfect for a relaxing afternoon dip. In addition, there is a tennis court and miles of wilderness to explore.
Dining: Sosian Ranch is well known for its delicious home cooking, using fresh ingredients from the organic vegetable garden.
Activities: Game drives, walking safaris, horse-riding and camel safaris are all available.
Other activities include fishing, bird-watching, archery and tennis. In addition to the large swimming pool, the delightful waterfalls of the Euaso Narok River are nearby, offering a fantastic, alternative swimming experience.
Child policy: Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged.
Responsible Tourism: Sosian Ranch works closely with local tribes, providing employment and permitting grazing during times of drought. The ranch has started a tree nursery and formed a water association with local communities to conserve the river and swamp areas on the ranch.
