Lewa Wilderness Lodge, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

Lewa Wilderness

Lewa Wilderness is situated within Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, one of Kenya’s major private conservation successes. This delightful luxury lodge and its guest cottages are part of the original family home of the Craig’s and it’s still home to Will and Emma Craig who are the congenial hosts along with their team of professional guides.

There are nine comfortable and spacious thatched cottages, with ensuite bathrooms. Each cottage is individually and elegantly furnished with rustic wooden ‘ranch furniture’ and woollen rugs that are made by the ranches community workshops. There is small fire place in each room to take the chill out of evening air and electricity and hot water is available in the morning and evenings.

There is a very cosy sitting room where guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and meals are shared around a long banqueting table in the open-air dining room. Much of the food is supplied by the ranch and its organic vegetable garden. There is also a salt-water swimming pool for a refreshing dip, horse stables and a clay tennis court.

Activities: day & night game drives, guided bush walks, bush meals, sundowners, Masai tribal community visits, aerial safaris in a classic bi-plane, horse rides, camel walks/rides, tennis, massages, farm and craft tours, visits to a pre-historic archaeological site.
