Hidden in a grove of elephant pepper trees overlooking the Mara plains, the camp is in a prime but secluded game viewing area, tucked away from other lodges. In order to preserve this sensitive environment, the camp is seasonal and is dismantled for three months of the year.

Accommodation & facilities: The spacious canvas tents are comfortably furnished; all have en-suite bathrooms with eco-friendly flush toilets, and private verandas with hammocks overlooking the savannah plains.

Elephant Pepper Camp has one honeymoon tent with a spacious main bedroom and en-suite bathroom, which includes twin wash basins and a safari shower. The large veranda has a seating and dining area, and includes a private camp-fire area. This tent can comfortably fit two extra beds, and is therefore also suitable for families.

Facilities include an open-sided dining tent and a sitting-room tent with plump sofas and cushions. Elephant Pepper Camp has a small library, complete with a gramophone. Evenings are often spent around the campfire, sharing stories and listening to the sounds of the African night.

Dining: Delicious meals are served in the open dining tent.

Activities: Day and night-time game drives with bush breakfasts and sundowners are available, as well as guided bush walks. Cultural visits can also be arranged.

Child policy: Elephant Pepper Camp accepts children from 5 years of age and upwards.

Responsible Tourism: Elephant Pepper Camp is involved in local community development schemes and an eco-preservation project.
