Wildlife Safaris and Holiday to Brazil

At first glance, Brazil is not the place that one would associate with safaris or at least the traditional safari that one associates with Africa. Recently however Brazil has made a name for itself in being one of the best places in the world, if not the best place in the world, to see jaguars in the wild.

The wildlife rich region of the Pantanal offers a variety of lodges from where you can explore this wetland habitat in search of this elusive predator. Primarily seen along the banks of the river on the forest fringes, your "safari" is done primarily by boat therefore maximising your chances of coming across a jaguar patrolling the river banks in search of food or lazing in the hazy sunshine.

Tracking jaguars in the wild does form the primary focus of our Brazilian safaris however these can also be incorporated with some fantastic Amazonian rainforest lodges where you have the chance to see the bizarre looking uakari monkeys, pink river dolphins, anacondas, spider monkeys, howler monkeys and more.

All of our safaris can be combined with time spent on the beautiful beaches of Brazil, city visits to the like of Rio and breathtaking visits to such areas of outstanding beauty as the Iguassu Falls.
