Brazil Wildlife Safaris - Overview
Brazil Wildlife Safaris and Jaguar Safaris
Brazil is the 5th largest country in the World covering almost half of the total area of South America. It has the largest portion of the Amazon Jungle and the Amazon River and has an Atlantic coastline of almost 7,500 kilometres. Brazil is an extremely diverse country with several indigenous populations, the influence of the Europeans and the influx of Africa slaves all adding to this mix. Due to the Portuguese explorers the main language spoken is Portuguese with several local languages still spoken in certain areas.
Brazil is one of those countries that we have all learnt and heard about from when we were younger and it always conjures up thoughts of exploration and adventure in people’s minds. Whether it is exploring the mighty Amazon Jungle and River, meandering along the cobbled streets of Salvador or marvelling at Christ looking down over Rio de Janeiro – we all have our own images of a perfect Brazilian holiday. At World Big Cat Safaris we have extensive knowledge of Brazil and we will put in the right places at the right times that best suit your interests.
Brazil is home to numerous exotic animals and birds, mostly found in the Pantanal wetland area bordering Bolivia in the west of the country. The Amazon is also home to millions of creatures great and small, but they are sometime harder to see due to the thickness of the forest, but it is still an amazing experience.
At World Big Cat Safaris we specialise in cultural, scenic, beach and wildlife holidays to Brazil through tailor made or small group safaris, to suit most budgets. To see a selection of tailor made, private safaris and some of the small group safaris we offer to Brazil, please see the “Safari Suggestions" page.
What to Expect on your Brazil Wildlife Safari: Brazil is a fantastic destination with a large amount to offer to the traveller. Jaguars are the principal large wildlife viewing attraction however interest also lies in the detail. Travellers should bear in mind that distances you travel are large and therefore time should be set aside for travelling from one region to another.
