Day 1
On arrival into Maun International Airport you will be met by one of our representatives who will assist you with your onward flight south. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Tau Pan Camp in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, one of the largest reserves in Africa. This afternoon enjoy your first game drive in search of the wildlife.
Overnight: Tau Pan Camp – Nine en-suite rooms offering stunning views over the open plains of the desert. The camp is fully eco friendly with 100% solar power which also heats the water. The main area has a lounge, dining area, viewing deck and swimming pool (D)

Days 2, 3
You have two full days to explore this vast region with morning and afternoon game drives. The area is home to specialised wildlife including oryx, springbok, red hartebeest, honey badgers, ground squirrels and steenbok as well as numerous birds. This is also one of the best areas to see cheetah who take advantage of the open spaces to hunt springbok, wildebeest, steenbok and on occasions, oryx. If you are lucky you may get to see the famous black maned lions which are larger than their cousins in the rest of the country. One of the highlights of Tau Pan Camp is the Bushman walk where you get to learn more about their fascinating culture.
Overnight: Tau Pan Camp (B/L/D)

Day 4
Today you will fly north to the Linyanti Marsh area of northern Botswana. This afternoon you will be able to enjoy a game drive with your guide as you go in search of the plentiful wildlife of this area.
Overnight: Duma Tau – Situated overlooking the river and lagoon. There are nine en-suite tents connected by a boardwalk. The rooms are large and each has an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a private balcony overlooking the river. The main area consists of a lounge, dining area, bar, library, curio shop, fire place and plunge pool (B/L/D)

Days 5, 6
Duma Tau is one of the best areas in Botswana to see leopards in the wild. The area along the river is the ideal habitat for these elusive cats so sightings are usually good, although they are never guaranteed. During the dry season this area attracts large herds of breeding elephants and on our last visit we spent three days with a pack of wild dogs who had recently moved into the area.
Overnight: Duma Tau (B/L/D)

Day 7
From Duma Tau you will fly west to the Duba Plains for the final leg of your safari. Duba Plains is renowned for its lion and buffalo interaction and there have been many documentaries made about this ongoing “war”.
Overnight: Duba Plains – A classic camp with large Meru style tents on platforms each with en-suite bathroom and outside shower. The main area has a lounge, bar, dining area, fire place, outside dining deck and plunge pool (B/L/D)

Days 8, 9
After an exciting drive across the river (with the water coming over the bonnet of the Land Rover) you will arrive at the famed “Duba Plains”; the large open plains with marshes, rivers, anthills and forested islands. The main focus here is the lion and buffalo interaction, but the general game is also very good with large herds of elephants, tssebbe, impala and red lechwe. It is also a fantastic destination for birds with many different habitats attracting a wide range of species. On the morning game drive you will locate the herd of about 1,000 buffalo to see where the lions are. If they are in tow, you are in for some exciting game viewing that day!
Overnight: Duba Plains (B/L/D)

Day 10
