Day 5
Today you will have an early morning transfer to Kasane airport (20mins) for your flight southwards to the Savuti area of Chobe National Park. Savuti is renowned for its elephant and lion populations and strangely, servals have also been known to appear with regularity on night drives! This is an excellent area for wildlife during the dry months as there are limited water sources meaning the wildlife tend to congregate around what water there is left. On arrival you will be able to head out on your first game drive to see what fauna
and flora you can spot. Night drives are a highlight of your stay at Savuti as this is when the predators start to hunt.
Overnight: Savuti Camp - Eight Meru style tents with en-suite facilities overlooking the grasslands. The communal area has raised deck overlooking the waterhole and a central boma for those nights of storytelling around the fire.
Day 6
Enjoy a full day in Savuti where a variety of activities are on offer. A selection of game drives, night drives and walking safaris are available which will maximise your wildlife viewing potential. Savuti also has a number of wildlife hides where you can sit back and marvel as life in the bush unfolds before your eyes. Wildlife in this area includes lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.
Overnight: Savuti Camp
Day 7
Following your final early morning game drive in Savuti you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight across the Okavango Delta to Little Vumbura. The camp itself is situated on its own island in a private concession in the northern Okavango Delta. Due to its location, a variety of activities are possible from Little Vumbura including day and night game drives, deep water boat safaris as well as mokoro trips and walking safaris.
Overnight: Little Vumbura - Six en-suite tents set under the canopy of an ancient Okavango forest. A plunge pool and star deck offer a chance to unwind after your safari or alternatively dine al fresco on the wooden deck.
