This intimate camp acccommodates up to eight guests in marquis-style canvas tents. Positioned along the edge of a shady forest Zafara Camp ensures great views of the surrounding floodplain.
Each large tent has a personal plunge pool and a private lounge area with a copper fireplace, and en-suite bathrooms complete with a copper bathtub. This is possibly the only luxury eco-camp with all power coming from solar energy and all furniture sculpted from recycled hardwoods. This is a favourite of ours due to the small details – each tent has a digital SLR camera for use whilst on safari!

Setting: Located in the eastern sector of the Selinda Reserve, beneath a canopy of jackalberry and red ivory trees, Zafara Camp enjoys uninterrupted views over the savannahs and floodplains of Zibadianja Lagoon's southern shores; a remarkable camp location and unbeatable spot for wildlife viewing.
Accommodation & facilities: Positioned along the edge of the forest and shaded by trees, each tent enjoys stunning views of the surrounding floodplain. Each luxuriously appointed tent has a private lounge area with a copper fireplace and furniture made from recycled ancient hardwoods; en-suite bathrooms are complete with a copper bath and both indoor and outdoor showers. Outside each tent is a private plunge pool and sun deck, affording fantastic views across the savannah - ideal for game viewing during the afternoon heat.
Zafara Camp’s main area is under canvas and emphasises the uninterrupted views stretching before it. This is possibly the only luxury eco-camp in the world which takes 100% of its power from solar energy. Zafara Camp is a favourite of ours, giving plenty of attention given to the finer details, including digital SLR camera in each guest tent, for use whilst on safari.
Dining: Zarafa Camp serves excellent quality food and wine, in both inside and alfresco eating areas. Meals are served at no set time, adjusting to suit wildlife sightings and individual guest preferences.
Activities: Day and night-time game drives in 4x4 vehicles, as well as guided game walks are on offer.
Child policy: Children under 8 years old are not permitted (unless booking the entire camp).
