Vumbura Plains Camp
Vumbura Plains consists of two magnificent camps, each containing seven luxury chalets, with private plunge pools and terraces. Located amidst scenic waterways and open savannah, game viewing takes place in both water and land-based safaris. This is one of Botswana’s most luxurious camps set in a stunning, secluded location.

Setting: Set in the Vumbura Reserve, north of Botswana's Moremi national park, Vumbura Plains includes two adjacent camps - Vumbura Plains North and Vumbura Plains South. In an area of scenic waterways, Vumbura Plains offers both water and land-based activities.
Accommodation & facilities: Each camp has seven wooden and canvas chalets with thatched roofs. The huge rooms are raised on wooden decks and are connected by walkways. Each chalet has its own private plunge pool and sun-lounging area with outside sofa and table. En-suite bathrooms include twin wash basins, indoor and outdoor showers, and many additional stylish touches. These units really are luxurious, even by Botswana's standards.
Facilities include a large, open-sided restaurant area, offering views out over the plains, a well-stocked modern bar, and a curio shop. There are several lounging areas with built-in sofas, and a decent library containing a selection of natural history books. A shady deck area overlooks the surrounding landscape and the lodge contains many unique touches, including hanging chairs and African sculptures.
Activities: Both camps offer a choice of activities including day and night-time game drives, mokoro (dugout canoe) trips and local nature walks. Motorboats can be used when water levels are sufficiently high.
Child policy: Children over 8 years old are welcome but parties with children between the ages of 8 and 12 are required to book private activities.
