With decent water levels year-round, Pom Pom Camp attracts stunning birdlife and offers a great opportunity to explore the Okavango Delta’s intricate maze of waterways by mokoro (dugout canoe).

Style: A luxury tented camp with traditional-style safari tents.
Setting: Neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve, in the heart of the Okavango Delta, the camp is located on Pom Pom Island, at the headwaters of the Xudum River system.
Accommodation & facilities: Pom Pom Camp has nine luxury tents in traditional, rustic safari-style. Shaded beneath a canopy of trees, eight tents overlook the Pom Pom lagoon, with an additional family tent closer to the main lodge. The en-suite bathrooms are enclosed but roofless, creating a true bush experience. There is no electricity in the camp; instead, paraffin lamps give a wonderfully warm evening atmosphere.
The thatched main lodge includes lounge, dining, bar and pool areas, as well as a curio shop and boma (outdoor eating) area.
Dining: Tasty home cooked meals cooked alfresco. Most drinks are included.
Activities: Game drives, walking safaris and nature walks are all on offer. Water based activities include fishing and mekoro (dugout canoe) trips. Photography and bird-watching excursions are also available.
Child policy: Children under 8 years old are only accepted if the camp is booked on an exclusive basis. A private vehicle must be booked for families with children aged between 8 and 12 years.
