Style: A tented camp overlooking the Boteti Riverbed and watering hole.
Setting: Situated on tribal land, the camp sits on a cliff edge on the banks of the Boteti Riverbed. The Boteti River is one of the few drainage systems that carry the Okavango floodwaters out to the Kalahari Desert and, in an area of otherwise scarce water, it attracts some of Africa's great wildlife populations.
Accommodation & facilities: Meno A Kwena Tented Camp has an authentic bush camp feel. The eight comfortable tents include twin or double beds with fresh cotton linen and cosy duvets. Each tent has its own bush shower complete with stunning views.
Rooms are linked by sand paths to the main areas. The kitchen, bar, lounge and dining areas are shaded by a large marquee and there are relaxation areas with comfy chairs where sundowners may be enjoyed. The campfire and plunge pool overlook the Boteti River bed and its waterhole.
Dining: Delicious meals are cooked over an open fire.
Activities: Safaris, including full day drives, operate in 4x4 vehicles. Walking trips and cultural activities with local communities are also offered.
The camp has a viewing telescope on the cliff-top overlooking the watering hole, and on-site bird baths are frequented by pied babblers, buffalo weavers and the occasional goshawk.
Child policy: Children of any age are welcome, providing they are well behaved. Private vehicles may need to be booked.
