Setting: Located close to its sister camp, Vumbura Plains, Little Vumbura Camp sits on an island in a private concession in the northern region of the Okavango Delta.
Accommodation & facilities: Shaded by the canopy of an ancient Okavango Delta forest, Little Vumbura is a beautiful camp of six luxury tents, each with en-suite facilities, as well as outside showers. The spacious rooms are connected by wooden walkways, which are frequented by the local baboons.
Overlooking the floodplains, the sun deck, large plunge pool and reading areas are great spots for wildlife viewing. The shaded, indoor dining area leads to a star deck and there is a small curio shop.
Dining: Group meals are served inside and outdoors, sometimes buffet style. Most drinks are included.
Activities: Water-based activities are a focus at Little Vumbura Camp, with mokoro (dugout canoes) trips and motor boat excursions on offer. Game drives operate in open Land Rovers and walking safaris are available on request.
Child policy: Children from 8 years old are welcome. Private vehicle hire is required for families with children between 8 and 12 years.
