Kwando Kwara Camp
Neighbouring its smaller sister camp, Little Kwara, Kwando Kwara lies in a private concession in the northern part of the Okavango Delta. Kwara Camp has eight safari tents built on raised platforms, all with views over the surrounding area. Each tent has en-suite facilities with twin wash basins and inside/outside showers.
The emphasis of these camps is wildlife viewing; games drives operate with a maximum of six guests per vehicle with a guide and tracker accompanying each drive. There is also a focus here on water-based activities, with tranquil mekoro (dugout canoe) excursions on offer. Other land based activities are possible with some of the game highlights including lion, leopard, wild dog and much, much, more.

Setting: Kwando Kwara Camp, situated on the Kwando reserve in the northeast of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, fronts onto a stunning floodplain and is backed by extensive bush, providing a year-round choice of water and land-based safari activities.
Accommodation & facilities: Kwara Camp has eight bright and spacious tented rooms, built on raised teak decking. Each has an en-suite bathroom with twin wash basins, flush toilet and large private outdoor shower. In addition, the honeymoon suite includes an antique claw-foot bathtub.
The lounge and dining area are extremely comfortable with great views over the waterhole and a good selection of books and games available. The thatched bar is well-stocked.
Activities: Game drives in 4x4 vehicles and walking safaris are on offer year round, as are river-boat safaris, spinner and fly fishing and mokoro (dugout canoe) trips.
Game viewing here feels particularly privileged, as Kwando camps limit safaris to six people per vehicle, and river cruises are on double-decker boats, allowing maximum visibility.
Child policy: All children are welcome by prior appointment.
