Zarafa Camp

Zarafa Camp is a small intimate camp with 4 “luxury marquis style” canvas tents positioned along the edge of the forest ensuring great views of the surrounding floodplain, but shaded by the trees. Each of the large “tents” has an ensuite bathroom, complete with a copper bath and indoor and outdoor shower. Each room has a private lounge area with a copper fireplace between the bathroom and bedroom, for those chilly winter evenings. In front of the rooms is a private plunge pool and deck with fantastic views of the savannah, making it ideal for game viewing during the afternoon heat, between activities. The main area is under canvas with the emphasis on the view and wildlife out-front. This is one of the few (or only) luxury eco camps with all the power coming from solar energy and all the furniture sculpted from recycled hardwoods. This is a favourite of ours due to the small details – each tent has a digital SLR camera for use whilst on safari!
